Choosing a material for custom engraved work

Match the material to the object, finish and manufacturing process before choosing the final dimensions.

Wood and plywood

Solid wood suits carved reliefs and objects where natural grain is part of the design. Plywood can suit flat laser-cut pieces, but the sheet composition and glue must be suitable for the workshop process. Material testing remains part of production approval.

Acrylic

Cast acrylic is offered for signs, award faces and display pieces. Decide whether the quotation covers one layer, several layers, a base or lighting components. A photo of a lit sample does not mean electrical fittings are included.

PVC

PVC products on this site are CNC-routed or mechanically milled. They are not offered for laser cutting or laser engraving. The grade and density matter: foamed and rigid PVC cannot share an assumed shipping weight.

Aluminium

6061-T6 is a quotation option for CNC milling and mechanical engraving, not a statement of stock availability. The final alloy, temper, thickness and finish must be confirmed. The 80W laser service is not an offer to cut bare aluminium or produce deep metal engraving.

Decide using the specification

Choose the material, size and intended use together. Public reference weights are calculated estimates and exclude packaging. The workshop quotation is the point at which the final configuration is agreed.
